FNB Rider / Team Owner is out for the remainder of the 2009 racing season. Justin was injured in a rare crash on the warm-up lap of the 600 SB race, July 26th, when he experience a series of mechanical issues along with some bad luck. We believe the issue was a combination of water in the belly pan splashing out as he turned into turn 4 and started his exit, along with a nice shiny new rear slick tire and a chain that was a little tighter that Justin normally runs. Justin was highsided off his machine and landed on his back, with his legs slapping the ground, breaking his right leg with a tibia plateau fracture. Justin was taken to the hospital and will have surgery tomorrow to plate and screw together his tibia. He will be non-weight bearing for 12 weeks and then learning to walk again on his leg.
Justin would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and phone calls.
